Hi! My name is Karissa and I am the owner/stylist of Salon Essence. I always had a passion for hair. I started in the beauty industry at the age of 16 at Carbon Career and Technical Institute. After I restarted my education at Metro Beauty Academy where I was named Metro Elite, and received my license for cosmetology. Next I went back to Metro and got my teaching for cosmetology! Following all of that I went to New York City and trained with Nick Arrojo for a 4 week hair boot camp. I learned so much from him, and got to excel in the craft of razor cutting and color! I specialize in textured cuts and lived in colors, but I honestly love everything hair! In my free time you can find me camping, kayaking, or teaching hair! Cant wait to see you in my chair soon xoxo.

Brook has 10 years experience behind the chair, and has entered the beauty industry to make people look and feel their best self. She prides herself on giving her guests a positive outlook on their appointment and knowing she will put in full effort into making their dreams a reality. Since 2013 Carbon County residents have been able to find Brook working behind chair. She attended Carbon County Technical Institute, and in 2017 graduated from Empire Beauty School with her teaching license. Brook has such love for creating the perfect color and cut for her guests. She also specializes in lived-in color, and every type of hair extension you could imagine. She also loves smoothing treatments to reduce either frizz or curl reduction. Brook also enjoys full body waxing.
